Almost 2 years ago, we adopted a dog from Foothills Humane Society. She was a timid, lonely pup who had been at the shelter for over 5 months. Thanks to the compassion and care she recieved from the great people at FHS, she was allowed to stay there long enough for us to find her! Now her name is Ella, and if you've seen us pull up to a show in our van, you've probably seen her in the window with her tongue out and tail wagging. Since Ella has been with us, she has put paws in the Atlantic and Pacific, scared off an intruder in a friend's backyard in Oakland, CA, had a cameo in one of our music videos, accompanied us on a backcountry hike to a waterfall in Yosemite, introduced us to Michael Stipe of REM, and given us more laughs and smiles than we ever could have imagined! We want to give back to the humane society that rescued Ella and kept her until we could find her, so we're donating a Christmas EP that we recorded. All of the funds go directly to the Foothills Humane Society via their paypal account. It's a great way to give AND get some holiday spirit!
